2025-03-26My Experience and My OpinionsIn this article I will give you my 10 reasons why I prefer Apple Safari over Google Chrome. It’s my experience and my opinions If you don’t agree with me on something let me know in the comments bellow. Today you have basically three main browser choices on your Mac. Safari, Firefox, and Chrome. I don’t use Firefox at all and I have never used so I will talk only about Chrome and safari in this video. I prefer Safari and it’s main default browser I use for regular web surfing. 1. Safari is Built for the MacThe first reason is because Safari is built for the Mac. So this is already a questionable reason. Are you using safari on a windows computer? I’ll give you an emoji cookie in the comment if you do. But as I said safari It’s built into the operating system and it’s definitely the most Mac-like interface and you don’t need to download anything extra. For most Mac users that’s reason enough to make it your default browser. There’s no reason to take up space on your drive with another app or or learn another ecosystem like Goggle’s for Chrome.Safari is build for Mac2. Battery SavingAnother advantage of safari is is if you’re using a MacBook. If you rely on a battery life that Safari is the best browser for conserving energy. It just uses less power so your battery will last longer.Safari conserving battery3. In Perfect Sync with Apple DevicesNow since Safari is made by Apple it works great across all your Apple devices. You can use iCloud Tabs to see your open tabs on different devices and of course Bookmarks will sync across all your different devices. So as you add bookmarks to Safari on your iPhone you’ll see them on your Mac as well. I don’t call it advantage over chrome. If you are logged in to your Goggle account you can do the same thing on Chrome. But having the closed ecosystem of different apple devices in perfect sync is so convenient. Apple devices in perfect
2025-04-22My most important Chrome bookmark folder has disappeared. HELP!! Thread starter Thread starter Rimon2012 Start date Start date Apr 18, 2017 You are using an out of date browser. It may not display this or other websites correctly. You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. #1 My most important Chrome bookmark folder has disappeared. This happened to another one of my Chrome bookmark folders a while before - a less important one that I can't remember, don't worry about this one. From what I've read online, it sounds like it's something to do with syncing bookmarks across my devices. Recently, I had it set up so that my iPhone browser (Safari) bookmarks sync to my computer (I never actually saw the Safari bookmarks though). I only recently (within the last 2 weeks) set that up, and now, due to the disappearance of my bookmark folders, I have stopped the syncing across my devices. I though it might be hazardous and it was, unfortunately. Because of the number of bookmarks that I've accumulated over time within the folder that just disappeared, titled 'More Bookmarks (Unsorted)', I desperately want to recover the folder. I lost the folder on roughly April 9 (probably a few days before). I tried the solution suggested in this article ( but it was to no avail. After completing the steps outlined in the article my Chrome data folder looks like this (see screenshot attached) - I have highlighted the bookmark folders. This is extremely important to me. I have years worth of valuable bookmarks in that folder. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If someone who has experience in restoring bookmark folders can help that would be perfect. Thank you. hang-the-9 Apr 20, 2017 I you do not have the .bak file of your bookmarks, there is really nothing you can do here. That .bak file is created often, so if you lost your bookmarks then where opening and closing Chrome, it would be over-written with whatever is in your bookmarks now.You can try this method which is restoring your file back to a previous version, may
