Skynet Webmail :: Welcome to Skynet Webmail

We've suspected it all along---that Skynet, the massive program that brings about world destruction in the Terminator movies, was just a fictionalization of a real program in the hands of the US government. And now it's confirmed---at least in name.As The Intercept reports today, the NSA does have a program called Skynet. But unlike the autonomous, self-aware computerized defense system in Terminator that goes rogue and launches a nuclear attack that destroys most of humanity, this one is a surveillance program that uses phone metadata to track the location and call activities of suspected terrorists. A journalist for Al Jazeera reportedly became one of its targets after he was placed on a terrorist watch list.Ahmad Muaffaq Zaidan, bureau chief for Al Jazeera's Islamabad office, got tracked by Skynet after he was identified by US intelligence as a possible Al Qaeda member and assigned a watch list number. A Syrian national, Zaidan has scored a number of exclusive interviews with senior Al Qaeda leaders, including Osama bin Laden himself.Skynet uses phone location and call metadata from bulk phone call records to detect suspicious patterns in the physical movements of suspects and their communication habits, according to a 2012 government presentation The Intercept obtained from Edward Snowden. The presentation indicates that Skynet looks for terrorist connections based on questions such as “who has traveled from Peshawar to Faisalabad or Lahore (and back) in the past month? Who does the traveler call when he arrives?” It also looks for suspicious behaviors such as someone who engages in “excessive SIM or handset swapping" or receives “incoming calls only."The goal is to identify people who move around in a pattern similar to Al Qaeda couriers who are used to pass communication and intelligence between the group's senior leaders. The program tracked Zaidan because his movements and interactions with Al Qaeda and Taliban leaders matched a suspicious pattern---which is, it turns out, very similar to the pattern of journalists meeting with sources. We should note that the NSA has a second program that more closely resembles the Terminator's Skynet. This one is called MonsterMind, as revealed by Edward Snowden last year in an interview with WIRED and James Bamford. MonsterMind, like the film version of Skynet, is a defense surveillance system that would instantly and autonomously neutralize foreign cyberattacks against the US, and could be used to launch retaliatory strikes as well. Under this program algorithms would scour massive repositories of metadata and analyze it to differentiate normal network traffic from anomalous or malicious traffic. Armed with this knowledge, the NSA could instantly and autonomously identify, and block, a foreign threat.Snowden also suggested, however, that MonsterMind could one day be designed to return fire---automatically, without human intervention---against an attacker. Because an attacker could tweak malicious code to avoid detection, a counterstrike would be more effective in neutralizing future attacks. Sounds a lot like Skynet. No word from the NSA on why they didn't use that iconic film name for its real-world Skynet.. Skynet, stylized as SkyNET and known as The Terminator: Skynet in Europe, is a computer game based on

Skynet This Week 2 – Skynet Today

The epic battle of man versus machine continues with SkyNet, the sequel to 1995's Terminator: Future Shock on PC. As a member of the human resistance led by John Connor, you must battle Terminators on desolate Los Angeles streets and in various interior locales, from a sinking submarine to the basement of Cyberdine Systems. SkyNet is planning to launch a nuclear missile to wipe out what's left of humanity, so you must ensure the mission fails. As in first-person shooters like Quake, the world in SkyNet is presented in true 3D with a choice of 320x200 or 640x480 resolutions. Seventeen weapons, an armored jeep, and an aerial HK are available to battle the Terminators across the eight-mission solo campaign. SkyNet also supports multiplayer deathmatches via Internet or LAN.SkyNET is Bethesda's last game based on the Terminator franchise. Originally developed as an expansion pack to Terminator: Future Shock, SkyNET eventually became its own standalone product. Its major features are an updated version of the Xngine allowing for play in the sharper 640x480 resolution (and the ability to update Future Shock to the same), a new single-player campaign, and a new multiplayer deathmatch component. In the single-player game, you must stop the machines from launching a recovered nuclear weapon. The story takes place over seven missions broken into various sections and "levels," with night progressing into daylight as the game goes on. The locations are also more varied and interactive than those featured in the first game, with levels like the basement of the Cyberdyne building, and a sinking nuclear submarine. Driving and flying levels return from Future Shock, as do the mission briefings, which are now handled entirely in FMV. The game seems to act as a prequel to Future Shock, with the most advanced technology and player weapons from that game not appearing in the course of the single-player missions in SkyNET.The multiplayer game allows for eight players over a LAN and two over IPX. The levels are contained recreations of sections or ideas in the single-player game, like a block of cityscape, a shattered freeway, or an open valley, and About this appWelcome to SKYNET, Myanmar's leading broadcasting media and the ultimate destination for all your entertainment needs. At SKYNET, we are dedicated to providing exceptional entertainment that resonates with our viewers. A T-000 unit The Cyberdyne Systems Series 000 Sweeper Unit, or T-000, also known as "Triple Zero" and "Sweeper", is a humanoid Hunter-Killer deployed by Skynet 2.0 in the late stages of the war.Specification[]A throwback to a time before actual Terminators, the T-000 is a serious step down from its T-800 predecessor. Tech-Com considered the T-000 to be nothing but resource-efficient mass-produced cannon fodder deployed in significant numbers to protect Skynet's key facilities.[1] The T-000 had basic infantry programming[2] and a reputation for being stupid and clumsy.[2]The T-000 is just an armored upgrade of the obsolete T-70, a carbon fiber chassis with a layer of segmented hyperalloy battle plate body armor. Despite this upgrade, the Resistance learned that there were gaps in the torso plating that could be used as a weak spot. Skynet 2.0 deploys these units for battlefield clean-up, finishing off wounded soldiers left behind and cataloging any prime targets who might have been killed in the battle.[1]Quotes[]John Connor: "Skynet would unleash its jackals now. Puppets of horror created in the machine's sick genius."[2]John Connor: "Stupid robots were never built for climbing. They can only operate when both their feet are on solid ground. But still they keep coming like the idiot toy soldiers they are."[2]Notes[]The T-000 were created by famed comic book artist Alex Ross for Terminator: The Burning Earth. All of their lore, including its name and the connection to the T-70 units from T2 3-D: Battle Across Time, are later establishment from The Terminator RPG.Appearances[]Terminator: The Burning EarthThe Terminator RPGThe Terminator RPG Campaign BookThe T2 RPG SourcebookReferences[]↑ 1.0 1.1 The Terminator RPG↑ 2.0 2.1 2.2 2.3 Terminator: The Burning EarthTerminator SeriesStandard000 - 1 (1-5 - 1-7) - 4 - 7 - H (U-5000) - 20 - 47 - 70 - 72 - 100 - 300 - 400 - 500 - 600 (650 - 660 - 690) - 700 (720 - 731 - 750 - 770 - 790 - 799) - 800 (8xx) - 900 (950) - X - 1000 (1001 - 1002 - XA - Meg) - Infinity - 2018 - 3000 - 4800 - 5000 - 8000OtherSky-1 - T-90 / T-101 - I-950 - TS-300 - T-900 (TOK715) - New Terminator - Dire Wolf - Moto-Terminator (Snowminator)Rev seriesRev-1 - Rev-6 - Rev-7 - Rev-9See alsoHunter-Killer - Humanoid HK (Infiltrator - Endoskeleton) - Non-Humanoid HK - Series - Technology
