RealVision ENB isn't needed anymore, all required files are included (apart from the ENB dll of course). This preset contains just enbseries.ini and the enbseriesfolder with a couple of ini files that is intended to overwrite corresponding files from RealVision so you will need to install RealVision first. This is because I haven't created a new preset - only tweaked the above mentioned inis so the rest of the files are still RealVision assets and that's why I decided against including them even though the mod author has retired and given permission to everyone to use his files. It looks great, but even on my fairly beefy rig, having RealVision puts my framerate at about 45. Is this normal, or is there some setting I can tweak to get a solid 60?Specs:i7 4770K @ 3.5GHzGTX 97016GB DDR3---Tai_Le_Ree 10 years ago#2If you want to have 60 fps with enb you better be prepared to tri sli 980s with the 8gb models when they come out, Have ddr4 ram clocked at least to 3000 and a haswell-e 6 or 8 core cpu clocked at least to 4.4 ghz, move windows virtual memory to a ram disk, and have skyrim and windows on a solid state drive.I'm not even exaggerating.By allowing this user to post on gamefaqs even once. You can toggle a large number of settings, including Depth of Field, SSAO, and Reflection in there. You can pretty much tweak each setting until you get the framerate you want, at the cost of visuals. Some effects are, obviously, more taxing on your system than others. My other sig is a P226.Wutobliteration 10 years ago#7mrCube posted...Wutobliteration posted...Disable Depth of Field, SSAO and Reflections. See how FPS you've just gained. Can you tell me how to do that? I change the values in enbseries.cfg but that doesn't seem to make a difference to the in-game settings. It's enbseries.ini. Under the [EFFECT] section, modify the lines to say:EnableReflection=falseEnableDepthOfField=falseEnableAmbientOcclusion=falsein order words, just change the words from true to false. I'd suggest trying DOF first, then SSAO, and if you still need FPS, disable Reflection. You can get free DOF without performance cost with the Dynavision mod, though
2025-03-25Hello everyone.I have modded Skyrim Legendary Edition (Steam) with mods from Nexus.I have followed this guide and installed pretty much everything on the page: top of that I also installed other (none graphical) mods, such as faster horses, immersive weapons and armors etc...I always made sure to use LOOT and clean my master files as told to do in the enb Realvision guide. The game works fine except for CTD randonly when I'm in the open world. I have no way to clearly monitor how much ram Skyrim uses (Skyrim Performance Monitor doesn't show anything on screen) but I did the "Windhelm" test and I soon as I was there in the docks the game crashed. No error message, just a plain return to the desktop like I had never played the game in the first place. So I am suspecting a memory issue. But I should have Enboost since it says so on the Realvision page but I still get CTD anyway. And I don't know how to verify this. Therefore I'm asking for help or I'll just give up the game all together.I also found this page: like to have advice before I try this because I don't want to mess with the game to a point of no return.Thank you for your help.
2025-04-23A little inferior. Setting a FPS limit also helps. You do that in the enblocal.ini. Or like Spybreak001 mentioned, you can alternatively do it in the in-game overlay.thatfool12Gs 10 years ago#8Tai_Le_Ree posted...If you want to have 60 fps with enb you better be prepared to tri sli 980s with the 8gb models when they come out, Have ddr4 ram clocked at least to 3000 and a haswell-e 6 or 8 core cpu clocked at least to 4.4 ghz, move windows virtual memory to a ram disk, and have skyrim and windows on a solid state drive.I'm not even exaggerating.Fail. All it takes is a bit of tweaking, and you can easily achieve 60 FPS nearly locked in, save for a few heavily forested areas.thatfool12Gs 10 years ago#9TC, start by tweaking ambient occlusion to either fast mode, or turn it off completely. It isnt worth the roughly 7-9 frame hit.If you use ENBseries 0.264, you can tweak the different settings in game to see which helps your FPS the most.I also found that mixing and matching the ENB files from the different presets available on the Nexus is very effective. Some are beautiful to look at, but kill way too much FPS. You can achieve some damm good settings by manually doing it yourself.thatfool12Gs 10 years ago#10Also, I use Precision X to give a small overclock to my card. It gives me another 7-10 FPS which is the difference for me.I set power target to 115%, GPU clock to +125, and memory clock to +600.My temps on my 680 stay at 45-50 degrees even with the OC.BoardsThe Elder Scrolls V: SkyrimIs RealVision ENB supposed to destroy my framerate?
