Faudel #1 Hello,It seems that ffmpeg is faster to transcode MTS to MPEG Iframe HDffmpeg -i "file.mts" -vcodec mpeg2video -vtag M701 -pix_fmt yuv422p -qscale 1 -qmin 1 -intra -an "file.avi"(no sound version)This is the M701 tag(matrox) that makes the file easily readable in LW.It will work with any software based on ffmpeg like ffmbc or WinFF.I highly recommend winFF, you can transcode many files at once and you can tweak presets.thank you. notrons #2 @Faudel - DSLR Post Prep Utility also provides MPEG I-Frame transcoding with M701 tag for Lightworks and provides automated batch processing for Windows. In addition it provides ProRes 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 formats, uncompressed, Avid DNxHD, and Mpeg-4 wrapper for LW - but all based on the broadcast quality version of ffmpeg, ffmbc. PPU merely provides the automation and command-line handling for those not interested in scripting. It also provides the commands used for reference and for those who may want to experiment further. If you are interested, please check out for more info and downloads. Faudel #3 Thank you, it seems to be a nice all in one utility !I'll give it a try. Faudel #4 Btw can you add a "no sound" option ? Last edited: Apr 25, 2012 notrons #5 It's the first such request I've had but I will certainly look into it. I will probably not do any more updates to DSLR PPU as I am working on a new program that combines the functionality of ExtensionCord (file renaming utility), HD-MINI (mini clip viewer / copy utility) and DLSR PPU in one package, with the additional ability to play the transcoded files using ffplay, (which handles all of the transcoded files including 4:4:4 formats), or you can double-click on a filename to open it in the default associated application (like QuickTime for .mov and VLC for .mxf or avi, etc). The new program will include support for .mov format as well as .mts and will have additional codec variations. If I can do so without too much additional dev time I'll try to slip in a no-sound option. This rate of utilization is expressed as apercentage. This utility also shows the usage of on-boardmemory. Matrox Rapixo CXPPerformance Monitor utilityThe Matrox Rapixo CXP Performance Monitor utility isintegrated in the Windows Performance Monitor utility and is usedto monitor information about Matrox Rapixo CXP, such as:Grab usage.Transfer usage of each DMA write engine.Memory size of the memory bank.Current and maximum temperatures of the FPGA. Matrox Rapixo CXP BenchutilityThe Matrox Rapixo CXP Bench utility calculates thereal-time transfer speed of the PCIe slot (in Mbytes/sec) from:Matrox Rapixo CXP to Host.Host to Matrox Rapixo CXP. Matrox Rapixo CXP PCIeInformation toolThe Matrox Rapixo CXP PCIe Information tool returnsinformation about the board's PCIe connection.Use the acquisition (device) selector to set theacquisition path about which to inquire (M_DEVn). Note that this selectoris shared with the Matrox Rapixo CXP System Monitor tool. This tool presents the following information inside theMILConfig utility:Current number of PCIe lanes.Current speed of the PCIe lanes.Maximum number of PCIe lanes.Maximum speed of the PCIe lanes.
