Dorjan This in fact was the problem. Once I pulled the red wire from the XR600 side of the interface cable and spliced in ACC. 12volts the XR600 start to function correctly again. The unit has worked as well and sounds very good for over 6 months so far. To add, one of the other, many benefits is that we can run google/apple GPS and Waze on the Kenwood as back up, while my Garmin or your Ipad is set for gps.
