Hi guys,I've got a server with several NICs, each one has an IP assigned. The primary IP is configured to preceed all the other IPs using Windows settings. The Server has the following IP's 10.10.20.200, 10.10.20.201, 10.10.20.202, 10.10.20.203For some reason the agent is using 201 to communicated with the STM server.I've tried to modify the IP address that the agent uses but can't get it to work.Is there a way to change the IP the agent uses? Also, could you shed some light on the bind process the agent uses so that i can prepare for larger deployments? Thanks in advance,Deltona Hi Deltona,You can change which IP Address the Agent uses to communicate by modifying the Core.XML manually (\Storage Manager Agent\Core.xml) with the IP you would like the agent to use. Thanks,Dan Hi,In my core.xml file I only have a destination, not a source IP to change.Using agent version 5.3.1 Hi, thereHave you solved this problem?I meet a same problem like you. Hi,No I haven't found a solution for this... Hi, DeltonaI found the following article from Google's cache. Assigning specific NICs in Storage Manager Agent If a Storage Manager agent is installed on a server with 2 or more installed network cards, then the core.xml file must be manually updated to define the IP address for the network card you want associated with sending messages to the Storage Manager Server. For example, if eth0 and eth1 are installed on your server, and eth1 is used to send traps, you must assocate the eth1 IP address to the Storage Manager agent by following these instructions.Navigate to \Storage Manager Agent\. Example: C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Storage Manager Agent\Open core.xml in a text editor.Enter the IP address of the network card you want associated with sending traps.Save the file. For Linux Servers, complete these additional steps. Open /etc/hosts in a text editor.Keep the default options, and add the IP address, domain, and hostnames for the network card you want associated with sending traps.Save the file.I send this article to our Linux engineer too, but he still need to open ports on our firewalls before accomplish this.So could you try it and share the resultIP Manager Tool 1.0 Download - IP Manager Tool.exe
IP Address Manager utility of OpUtils software identifies whether an IP Address is currently available or not. The IP tools helps in management of the IP addresses in a static DNS environment, using pre-defined user policy. The tool scans a subnet and provides the availability status of IP addresses in that subnet. One can check whether a particular IP is used or available. Adding Custom Columns to the IP Address Manager Viewing IP Address Details Viewing the IP History Manually Reserve IP Addresses Viewing IP Usage Reports Importing IP address detailsAdding Custom Columns to the IP Address ManagerIP Address Manager allows you to add custom columns both at the subnet-level and at the IP details-level for adding user-defined inputs. These columns can be used to store any specific information about the subnet/IP address. To add a custom column, follow the steps below: Click the IP Address Manager module -> IP Details. Select the Custom Column tab. This will list all the columns that have been added already. Click the Add Custom Field link Specify the following: Column Name: Name for this column Column At: Specify whether this column is for the subnet details or for the IP details. Data Type: Specify what type of data you wish to store in this column. It can be String for text, Integer for numbers, Boolean for true or false, or File for adding a file input. You can also define your own data type by clicking the Custom Datatype link. Size: The size for this column Default Value: The default value for this column Description: A brief description about this column. Click Add Column The new column gets added to the subnet/IP-level as defined. Viewing IP Address DetailsThe Summary View provides the graphical representation of the Available and Used IP Addresses in a subnet. You can click the graph to view the corresponding IP Addresses. The summary is also presented in a table below the graph. The status of the IP Addresses are categorized as Used IPs : Displays the IP addresses which are currently in use. Such IP addresses should have responded. The topic, Assigning an IP domain manager to the IP-Configuration Manager on page 42 explains how to designate an IP Manager as configuration-enabled. When you host a file on Access Policy Manager, you can provide the link to the file in a number of ways. In this example, the BIG-IP Edge Client for Mac link is provided as a link on the user's webtop. The user connects through the web client, then clicks a link on the webtop to download the client file. To provide the BIG-IP Edge Client for Mac, first you must create a connectivity profile. Then, you can download the Mac client file as a ZIP file. Configuring a connectivity profile for Edge Client for macOS Update the connectivity profile in your Network Access configuration to configure security settings, servers, and location-awareness for BIG-IP Edge Client for macOS. On the Main tab, click .A list of connectivity profiles displays. Select the connectivity profile that you want to update and click Edit Profile. The Edit Connectivity Profile popup screen opens and displays General Settings.
