Homepod spotify support

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. My HomePod will happily play anything from Apple Music/iTunes but when I try play anything from Spotify, it’s silent. Spotify is showing that its Playing via airplaying, the Home app shows that music is playing but no sound from HomePod.On some occasions Spotify has worked on the homepad but 90% of the time, nothing. Ive upgraded all software and still no clear compatibility. Is this apples way of playing dirty with the competitors or Is the speaker faulty?paid a lot of money for this kit and it clearly doesn’t function as it should.
