Hangouts new version update

It may not display this or other websites correctly.You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. #1 yesterday a new version of Hangouts was released and I updated mine (version 1.2.016).I went to the Play Store on my wifes Note and hangouts didn't show as an updateable item so I uninstalled Hangout updates and went back to the store. It showed Hangouts dated Sept 25th so I figured it would update properly. it didn't. still stuck on prior version.next I deleted Data, Cache and force stop, rebooted phone and tried updating hangouts again (which at this point had been reverted to Talk). unfortunately after all this rigamarole, her phone still has version 1.1.xxx of hangouts.Any ideas? Google integrated a lot of their communication services including Google Talk and Google+ Messenger into the new platform they called Hangouts a couple of years ago. Today, after some leaks regarding this app, Google has officially announced the changes and improvements that the version 4.0 would bring. The update will start rolling out today and the most noticeable change are the redesigned visual elements, making some functions easier to work with. Of course, this version also fixes some bugs and its optimized so it’s faster and more reliable than ever, plus less battery is consumed by the app. Also included in this update is a feature that will please many users of Google Voice.They will now be able to use group SMS in Hangouts, so now if a user has integrated a Google Voice number into Hangouts, they will be able to receive and reply to group SMS with the new version of the app. While this is heading into the right direction, users who are anxious to use this feature as soon as they get the update will have to wait a little longer, as it is not ready just yet. Starting a group SMS will be possible soon after everyone has the updated app, which, as you may know, is being rolled in phases, so it might take a couple of days before everyone gets it.Users of Project Fi will now be able to get the group SMS functionality from Hangouts and not just from Google Messages. Once the new functionality reaches Hangouts, it will be activated in all of the different platforms supported by the app including Android, iOS and the web, so users will be able to use it across many devices. Hangouts already support many functionalities that even some of its rival apps don’t, so this is definitely a welcome addition and will make this communication app more competitive and useful. A little more patience is required until the update appears in the Play Store or before we get the APK file so that more people can download it and make the wait a little shorter.

I can never get MMS messages to send. Its rather annoying. I've heard of people adding a custom APN but my button to add an APN is greyed out. #2 The only thing I can do is toggle airplane mode a few times to get the messages to go through but it doesn't always work #3 Went to the sprint store today and they were baffled. #4 I have. It doesn't let me edit, only create NEW APN's. I have my MSL and still cant change my APN settings. I could use the hotspot on the S6 SM-G925P. I'm currently non-rooted due to the recent 5.1.1 Firmware version update. Thanks. #10 There has always been an issue with sprint phones + Google Hangouts + MMS. For some reason hangouts will only send and receive MMS over data. If you want to test it connect to wifi, try to send an MMS over hangouts (notice that your data icon in the top bar will show). If you have poor data reception your MMS might not even send and the phone radio can get very hot. Now disable hangouts and use the stock messaging app to send an MMS. Notice that the MMS sends fine over wifi and does not activate your data. I really love hangouts, but the inability to send and receive MMS over wifi is a deal breaker for me. Turning on data every
