Switch to borderless fullscreen or windowed? Do you have any of the in-game frame limits selected (these are on the Display screen of the System Settings)?Try disabling any overlays you might have while playing the game (Geforce Experience, Discord Overlay, etc.).You can also try a clean boot. Valorant FPS drops, and you should go through the following steps one by one, and launch Valorant at each stage to see if there is an FPS improvement:Close programs running in the background that aren't needed such as Google Chrome and Discord (both of which can cause significant FPS drops from what we've found in testing). To do this, open the Windows Task Manager, and scroll to "Apps" and "Background processes". Locate programs like Chrome and Discord, right click on the process, and select "End Task". Note: your PC will have a number of background processes that are needed, so only close programs you know your PC doesn't need to function normally.Set the Valorant Detail Quality, Material Quality, Anisotropic Filtering, and Bloom settings to "Low". These settings in particular demand a considerable amount from your machine despite having minimal impact on your overall gameplay experience (yes, the game won't look as pretty, but FPS drops can cost you the game, which is worse than a reduced graphics quality). In the Video > General area of your Valorant settings, make sure your Display Mode setting is set to Fullscreen. Additionally, set "Limit FPS on Battery" and "Limit FPS Always" to Off, and turn "Limit FPS in Menus" and "Limit FPS in Background" to On. Set the "Max FPS" for both the menus and background to 30FPS.Valorant updatePreviously Riot Games rolled out a Valorant anti-cheat update following numerous complaints about cheating within the game. This update introduced the VAN:RESTRICTION system that essentially checks your PC to see if it meets all of Valorant’s security requirements. Many of these requirements are buried in your computer’s BIOS settings, but most modern PCs should already have TPM 2.0, and Secure Boot enabled. Players who do not meet Valorant’s anti-cheat requirements will be prevented from playing the game Music service will last :) NEW: Snapcraft package should actually work now FIX: Discord Rich Presence won't steal all your RAM now FIX: The playback API works again, no more 5000 second long songs NEW: Better Electron = Better Chromium = BetterThanks to all the people who have helped with these features and fixes. Version 4.5.0 This is a minor release of Google Play Music Desktop PlayerHere is a quick run down of all things that have changed. NEW: Added ListenBrainz support NEW: Discord Rich Presence Integration NEW: Support for Google Cast Groups (finally) NEW: If lyrics can't be automatically found there's now a handy button to search for them on Google NEW: You can now disable disabling hardware acceleration on macOS (kinda enabling I guess) NEW: For all you hungarians, we now have hungarian language support NEW: Global hotkey for "I'm feeling lucky" NEW: Clicking on the volume icons now updates the volume (makes sense right?) FIX: JSON and Playback API time fields now don't climb to infinity and beyond FIX: You can now type in an input box and pause your music at the same time, crazy stuff... FIX: If you're in fullscreen mode and you quit, you won't be left staring into the void FIX: If for whatever reason you have more than 12 chromecasts you can now scroll the cast device list FIX: There is now an easy way to remove hotkeysThanks to all the people who have helped with these features and fixes. Version 4.4.1 This is a patch release of Google Play Music Desktop PlayerHere is a quick run down of all things that have changed. NEW: Option to start minimized NEW: Add experimental support for 5.1 audio if your system supports it FIX: Lyrics support should be a bit better now, one lyrics source was broken FIX: PulseAudio media role is now set on linux FIX: Session handling for Last.FM, loving tracks should work now FIX: Some API issues with track timing not updatingThanks to all the people who have helped with these features and fixes. Have a stream coming up and you’d love for them to visit. If you ever get to the point where you are streaming daily, you can skip the day-before post and only send out a note 10 minutes before you start to stream. Have a Wide Social Media Presence Speaking of social media, having your accounts on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Mastodon, and Instagram is a good idea because you want to reach as many people as possible. Don’t rely solely on Twitch to reach a possible new follower. Utilize the Raid Feature Raiding another stream takes your live followers and sends them to someone else’s stream. It’s a way of sharing a channel you like with your followers. It’s fine only to have a few people watching your stream when you raid someone else. Being a known raider makes you more likely to be raided. Create a Discord Server Having a place where folks can gather to chat about your type of content is ideal. Discord makes it easy to set up and foster a small community you can communicate with more easily. Folks who join your Discord are the people you can rely on (at least some of them) to become regular viewers of your streams. Create an Attractive Twitch Layout Spending the time and effort to design a quality graphical layout for your stream, such as creating a Twitch layout in Photoshop, will attract more viewers to it in the Twitch search results and communicate dedication and professionalism to those watching. A good layout should include a webcam in the upper left or right corner, a chat box for those watching in fullscreen, and your social media usernames in a list or rotating slideshow. Adding special widgets that display the latest followers and hosts also will encourage action from viewers. Collaborating With Other Streamers Once you’ve established yourself and have a modest following, you can begin to reach out to fellow streamers to see if they’d like to work with you in some collaborative way. That could mean streaming together, working on a project, or anything you both come up with. What About Giveaways? Giveaways are tricky. You have to be careful they don’t appear to be gambling (e.g., raffles in which entries are based on subscriptions to the channel or otherwise paying you money). Because of the complexities, only investigate this idea once you’ve established yourself and have more time to look into the details around giveaways. Besides, giveaways will mostly be out-of-pocket expenses, and your money should be used to improve the stream.FAQ The account Ninja (Richard Blevins) has 18.5 million followers. Fix: Discord Stuck in Fullscreen on

In short, whenever I am playing a game on my 144hz monitor and I open an application my 60hz monitor that has some sort of video (some that I have used are YouTube in Chrome, Twitch app & in Chrome, and Discord only when using webcams), it causes my game on my 144hz monitor to seemingly drop frames/become laggy. After looking it up, I finally was able to deduce that this is a common problem for people with two monitors that have different refresh rates. This supposedly happened because of a Windows update back in 2015 or so that causes the refresh rate to sync across monitors and the only way to truly fix it was to turn off the Aero setting but only if you have Windows 7 as it is not possible in Windows 10. I have seen many suggestions of how to fix this issue but none of which have worked for me. I didn't see too many recent posts that were answered so I thought I would bring this up in here to see if anyone has a fix for this???P.S. I have turned hardware acceleration off in every program and it doesn't work. I also do not have an igpu.Thank you!Main Monitor:Gigabyte AORUS FI27q - 144hz (DisplayPort)Freesync enabledSecondary Monitor:Acer KG281k - 60hz (HDMI)Freesync enabledCPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700xGPU: AMD Radeon 5700xtEdit: this problem only occurs when playing in borderless/windowed full screen. If I put it in full screen it seems to fix itself. Although alt+tabbing our of fullscreen is annoying.
