PlayStation - Final Fantasy Origins: Final Fantasy 1 - World Map
Several newly composed songs were arranged by Nobuo Uematsu.Enemies – Certain bosses and enemies have had their HP increased to balance the difficulty.Maps - Improved textures have resulted in slight changes to map geography throughout the game. Additionally, the world map is shifted 3 tiles south and 1 tile west, and is now 255x255 rather than 256x256; the removed tiles are all ocean tiles. Its encounter mapping is shifted the same values, leaving it functionally unchanged outside of changes in geography.Random encounters:River and lake encounters are now the same across the entire world map. In prior releases, the northern and southern halves of the map had different encounter sets for rivers.Swamps and deserts can now have unique encounter sets, though in practice this results in only minor changes to encounters in the Caravan, Citadel of Trials, and Onrac regions.PlayStation[]An enhanced re-release for the PlayStation was released along with Final Fantasy II, titled Final Fantasy Origins (or Final Fantasy I+II Premium Collection in Japan). Both games are based on the WonderSwan Color versions, retaining most of the changes featured. The game was released on October 31, 2002 in Japan, followed with a March 14, 2003 release in Europe and a April 8, 2003 release in North America.Along with the WonderSwan Color changes, additional features were added:Updated visuals – Visuals have higher resolution with new graphical effects.Rearranged soundtrack – Improved sound quality for music equivalent to the existing Final Fantasy titles on the PlayStation, with additional tracks added by Nobuo Uematsu.Localization –

Meteors rarely explode in the Earth's atmosphere. The term has become associated with quickness with the adjective "meteoric". In the context of myth and superstition, meteors and comets sighted in Ancient and Medieval Europe were once held as ill omen, said to be the message of the heavens' displeasure of man's affairs to herald grave catastrophes.Pieces that withstand atmospheric ablation are known as meteorites, but the name of the spell in the series refers to the overall phenomenon.Citations[]↑ The Art That Shaped Final Fantasy: Thoughts From Famed Artist Yoshitaka Amano (Accessed: May 14, 2018) at Game Informer)↑ Final Fantasy VII Remake Ultimania Interview With Tetsuya Nomura (Accessed: July 17, 2020) at Game8↑ Final Fantasy VII: The Unused Text – Part 12 (Accessed: May 14, 2018) at The LifestreamFinal Fantasy 1 Maps: world, dungeon town maps
Final Fantasy VII!" and it wasn't that at all. And people are less enthused now. Final Fantasy VII remake being bad in almost every way probably isn't helping either. You and I must have very different definitions of bad. #362 I'm not terribly surprised, people were wanting a remake of Final Fantasy VII, bait and switched people by saying "Here's a remake of Final Fantasy VII!" and it wasn't that at all. And people are less enthused now. Final Fantasy VII remake being bad in almost every way probably isn't helping either. Sure, it's not 100% true to the original story, but this is an odd take to have when it has fairly positive scores from critics. #364 Sure, it's not 100% true to the original story, but this is an odd take to have when it has fairly positive scores from critics. It's the "rock and a hard place" problem of remakes.Even for a remake that literally has the original game running under the hood, things like Demon's Souls on PS5 have detractors saying it's worse in every way. #365 Matsuda already got canned (stepped down) and the new CEO has already stopped doing moneyhats. See FF14, Visions of Mana etc coming to Xbox. Neither of those were an issue of moneyhats. #366 I've said it in other threads but I think, sales-wise, the iron was hottest for a FFVII Remake in the PS3 era. I love both Remake and Rebirth, with some caveats, but Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy in general isn't in the same place it was even ten years ago. technically and creatively I don't think they were capable of that in that era. maybe with a fairly straightforward remake - keeping the world map, turn based battles ect it's just all done in 3D.
