Airplane Description Alternate Air In the event of power loss because of icing or blocking of the air filter, there is the possibility of drawing air from the engine compartment. The ALTERNATE AIR operating lever which serves both engines simultaneously is located under the instrument panel to the right of the center console. Normally fuel for the right engine is taken from the right wing main tank and for the left engine from the left wing main tank. The control levers for the fuel selector valves are situated on the center console behind the power levers. The positions are ON, X-Feed and OFF.
