Topic: Nuendo DAW Integration (Read 2594 times) Good day All,I just ordered a new KeyLab 88 MKII and will be using it with Nuendo 11. Does anybody have any experiences they can share around DAW mode compatibility with any version of Nuendo? Even though Nuendo is a version of Cubase, many plugins and peripherals work differently between the two.Thank you very much!Mediaeam Logged Hi I just set up A MkII for Cubase 11. Here is the link. sure you use Mackie Control, not Mackie Hue as some advise follow this post to the letter. The only difference I found is the post refers to a Cubase setting called "Use Metronome", Here its called "Activate Metronome". Of course if you are using Cubsase Controller Room you have to enable the metronome there too, otherwise no sound. I also notice that the magnetic layover for Cubase is not really needed as the default names - backed on the keyboard are correct for Cubase 11. These can be imported into CbB, which would probably be a good start. Thread starter jcardinal Start date Jun 16, 2023 #1 I have UAD Spark and use Cubase 12 pro. Upon startup of a project, sometimes my UAD plugins are showing a "plug in not licensed" error message when I open the plug in. So far it's happened with both API Bus Compressor and Hitsville Reverb although I suspect it would happen with any plug in as those are the two I use the most. If I restart Cubase sometimes it will recognize the license. It's really frustrating because I start making changes to my mix without even knowing that the plug-in license isn't activated, I don't receive any error message from Cubase, there's no error in the plug-in manager of Cubase, it just simply says "plug in not licensed" in the UAD plug in when I open it, it's not greyed out in my DAW so it looks active. There's also no problem within ilok, and opening ilok and/or UA connect with my DAW open doesn't do anything for it to recognize the license...so far the only solve of the problem is to restart Cubase. I emailed support two days ago but haven't heard back. #2 I didn't realize there is a support forum, I posted there..feel free to delete this post. I can't see how to delete my own post. #3 There's also no problem within. A lot of people miss out on Podium, I think, just because of the initial setup. Once you get that, then it’s fairly easy from there, to me anyways. We used to mangle pickups and attach them to things, hit them, run the percussive sound through a Zoom multifx pedal and Tascam the results. Like 4mica, I too believe a lot of folk are missing out on Podium, which while missing a few key features, is perfectly usable and as you say – gracefull. Still, Cubase is a very very serious and deep program, and I could do with it (an LE version) things that I couldn’t do with other DAWs at that level. I like it very much, but I hate the computer resources that Steinberg are waisting for their dongle protection system… That I hate and that is why I could not think of buying that piece of software. But as a DAW, Cubase rocks!I wish Podium would offer the extend of possibilities that Cubase offers in MIDI department. O the Audio
