I was hearing some popping sounds as well after I installed the driver. For me the last real stable driver was 6.0.9556.1.The symptoms I have are the audio popping at random and when I get a notification on the desktop, I cannot hear the sound sometimes. Also if no sound is heard on the PC for a few minutes it seems like the audio gets muted for some reason and turns the volume back up when the algorithm notices that there is sound being played. Also playing a video on MPC makes the video delay lag like it is waiting for the audio to play along with the video.
