The problem to surface again. When the error occurs again, go back to the Event Viewer utility, navigate to the WMI-Activity log, and search through the Operational logs and Trace logs. Hopefully, you will be able to find what is causing the problem. If not, you need to enable the Debug log by using the previous procedure. Unfortunately, the Debug logs require expert WMI skills and detailed knowledge that is rarely found outside of Microsoft Customer Service and Support (CSS). Therefore, you would need to open a case with Microsoft CSS to get to the root cause.Join me tomorrow when I will talk about more cool Windows PowerShell stuff.I invite you to follow me on Twitter and Facebook. Enabled -eq $trueHere is an example of the command and the output from the command:If I want to find which network adapters have the Client for Microsoft Networks bound, I need to first see which protocols are enabled (using the syntax from the previous command), and I need to see which one of the enabled protocols have the display name of Client for Microsoft Networks. This requires a compound Where-Object statement. Therefore, I cannot use the simplified syntax. Also, because only one of the protocols begins with Client, I can use that to shorten my query just a bit. Here is the command I use (this is a one-line command that I broke at the pipe character to make a better display):Get-NetAdapter |Get-NetAdapterBinding |where {$_.enabled -AND $_.displayname -match 'client'}The command and associated output are shown in the following image:Join me tomorrow when I will continue Network Adapter Week by talking about enabling and disabling network adapters.I invite you to follow me on Twitter and Facebook. .NET Core 3.0 support, new LSP - based parsers and multiple improvements and bug fixes across our all core libraries. 27 March 2020 We have released a new major version of AlterNET Studio, focusing on .NET Core 3.0 support, new LSP - based parsers, and multiple improvements and bug fixes across all our core libraries.Name change and all-in-one product offering.Given that usage of our products and customer’s projects is well beyond the scope we anticipated initially, we havedecided to rename our solution from “AlterNET Extensibility Studio” to just “AlterNET Studio”.As we see rising interest in our integrated solution, we have decided to simplify our product offering and include allcore libraries under the same umbrella. Now Code Editor, Scripter, or Form Designer can only be installed or ordered aspart of the AlterNET Studio solution. We have also dropped the price of our solution to make it more accessible, and we will be providing discounts for thosecustomers who need individual products such as Code Editor, Form Designer, and Scripter. We still offer WinForms, WPF,and Universal editions for the AlterNET Studio solution..NET Core 3.0 support for most core libraries. We now support .NET Core 3.0 via NuGet packages for most of our core libraries, except WinForms Form Designer,TypeScript Scripter, and Parser. We also moved to .NET 4.6.1 as a default .NET Framework; 4.5.2 via NuGet packages.A list of available NuGet packages is available here.New LSP-based parsers for C/C++, Python, Lua, and PowerShellWe have added support for the LangServer protocol, which is used between a tool (the client)andmouse-scripter/mouse_mover.py at master - GitHub

2025-04-23Has the CommandLine property that will show me what command line is used to start a particular process. I can match that with the Command property from Win32_StartupCommand. There are a lot of processes running in Windows 10, and I want to filter some. First of all, I look for a command line that contains OneDrive:gcim win32_process | where commandline -match 'onedrive'Well, what about Lync?gcim win32_process | where commandline -match 'lync'Neither of these appear. So I decide to do a more generic Lenovo query.
